Original prints

I discovered relief printing during the Covid pandemic lockdown and have been hooked ever since.

While I initially focused on making mini prints, I am beginning to expand the size and scale of my work as I develop my drawing and carving skills.

Much of my work is inspired by a love of nature and the structural way that natural objects like leaves and flowers lend themselves to the process of relief printing.

But my work is not exclusively nature-based. I make pieces that mean something to me personally or make me smile, in the hope that they will resonate with someone else too.

Inspired by my first cat, I drew, carved and printed the image on Somerset Satin 300gsm paper using a bespoke purple mixed from Cranfield inks. The paper measures 15.5x20.5cm and has four deckled edges. The print itself measures 9x15cm.
