Every notebook, journal and sketchbook is built from scratch, with some featuring original linocut prints.
Handprinted teal and silver dragonfly notebook
Handmade A5 lined paper notebook with 176 pages featuring an original linocut dragonfly in silver.
The spine and back are lined with pale grey book cloth. Inside, the endpapers are made with GF Smith Colorplan in Azure Blue and the paper is lined and made from 120gsm Munken Pure – Smooth Ivory. It includes a pale blue ribbon.
Printmaking with lino is a manual craft that requires specialist tools and inks. The nature of the process means that each print is unique and may feature some speckling. This is particularly true of this textured paper but is part of what makes this artform so beautiful.
I make every notebook by hand, from folding and sewing the internal papers together to make the 'text block' through to selecting and cutting papers and book cloth, which I then use to build the final covers.
Each notebook is unique and there may be slight variations from the book shown in photos. However, the photos do show each key aspect of the book to help you see what you are buying.
I only make a handful of notebooks at a time so if this is out of stock I will get in touch to discuss making one for you. This will increase the delivery time as the book takes a few days to construct, the glue to dry and the book to press flat.
All books are posted in a protective book envelope.
